Who You See and Who We Are Exhibition Opening

Join us for the exclusive opening reception of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art’s inaugural Youth Council Exhibition. This special exhibition, thoughtfully curated by our Youth Council—a dedicated group of nine high school students—showcases compelling artwork from talented student artists across Memphis. The works explore the complex and dynamic narratives of teenage identity, examining culture, personal growth, and the shifting perceptions of self in today’s world.

The afternoon will begin with opening remarks by Youth Council members, who will share their curatorial vision and insights into the exhibition’s themes. Following the presentation, guests are invited to mingle, enjoy delightful refreshments, and experience live music performed by student musicians in the Education Studio.
