Super Saturday - Playful Pottery - Archived

Get your hands messy and your creativity flowing at this week’s Super Saturday! Inspired by the Spiked Bowl with Feline Face from the museum’s collection you’ll use model magic and sculpting tools to craft your own pottery piece complete with playful animal features. Afterward visit the galleries to explore how artists across cultures and centuries have shaped clay into art. Free and open to all from 10 AM to 12 PM — no kiln required! Materials for art making are limited. Please register in advance. Major annual support for Museum Education is provided by the Windgate Foundation City of Memphis First Horizon Foundation Tennessee Arts Commission National Endowment for the Arts ARTSmemphis and the Urban Child Institute.

The museum and all its programs are made possible by the generous support of museum members. Members enjoy free daily admission to Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and receive discounts of up to 50% on ticketed events. Join today at thebrooks.org/join
