It’s paired with Dmitri Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 in C Minor, a gripping, emotionally layered piece composed under the weight of Soviet censorship.

This live performance features the Arcadia String Quartet, a talented graduate student ensemble from the University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music.
