Little Amal Puppet Making Workshop with Clayborn Temple

Come make a puppet in your likeness in preparation for Memphis' welcome to Little Amal!

Little Amal is a 12-foot puppet of a Syrian girl who will be in Memphis on October 4th. Clayborn Temple is leading this project, where Amal and over 1000 puppets created by youth across the city will walk from the I Am A Man Plaza to Tom Lee Park. Emily Marks will lead this workshop to talk about Amal’s story and teach you how to build puppet self-portraits, as well as contribute to a quilt that we will gift Amal upon her arrival. After we finish, you and your puppet are invited to come walk with us on October 4th at 4 p.m.
